Do I have to take a level test? What does it consist of?
The first time you come to our centre, you will take a level test, which will help us understand your level and plan your learning. They are free and without any commitment. They stand out for their flexible scheduling and their method of proceeding. The level tests consist of an oral interview (about ten minutes) that allows us to assess the communicative and linguistic ability as well as the motivation of the participant, and a written level test (approximately 30 minutes).
What should I do if I miss a class?
We recommend that you call the centre to take advantage of the flexibility by joining another class at the same level to avoid missing your session. However, don’t forget to speak with your teacher to prepare the assigned homework for the next class.
I want to prepare for an official exam, what do I need to do?
At TalkTalk Idiomas, we have special courses for preparing for official exams. Additionally, since our levels align with those set by the European Council, students will be ready to take the equivalent certification exam at the end of each of our modules. If you want to know which official exam you could successfully pass, feel free to request a level test. At TalkTalk Idiomas, we provide guidance and can even handle the registration with an examination centre.
Is the material included in the price?
While it depends on the program you enroll in, course materials are included in the tuition fee and consist of a copy of the class and homework books, copies of additional materials and exams, TV series and songs, and craft materials. Additionally, you have the option to purchase the books at our reception. In conversation courses, we do not follow a specific book, and in business classes, we determine whether it is necessary to follow a book based on a preliminary analysis of the students.
Is the teacher a native speaker?
At TalkTalk Idiomas, we believe it is very important for teachers to be native speakers, but it is also essential that they are bilingual so they can truly understand our difficulties when learning a language. That’s why what matters in our centre is that the teachers, whether native or bilingual, have extensive professional experience as educators.
Are there reports on the students' progress?
Yes, the teacher provides a report every quarter on the student’s learning continuity. Additionally, at the end of each school year, a test is administered to the students. To pass and move on to the next level, a score of six or higher on a scale of ten is required.
Can I cancel a One to One, Two to One, or phone class and reschedule it?
If you notify us 48 hours in advance, it is possible to change it. Otherwise, the class will be considered completed.
To cancel a class, you must contact our reception staff either by email or by phone and obtain their written confirmation.
Can I change my schedule?
If there is availability in the requested time slot, we will change it for you instantly. If not, we will take note and change it for you as soon as a spot becomes available.
What should I do if I believe that the level assigned to me is not the right one?
If you feel that it is not your level, do not hesitate to mention it at reception. Request an appointment with the coordinator to discuss the change.
Who can I speak to if I have a question, inquiry, or problem?
Don’t hesitate to raise it at the reception. They will direct you to the most suitable person.
